Research Areas

I am interested in how electrons couple to atomic motion in real materials, and how that coupling gives rise to measurable phenomena across chemistry and materials physics. At interfaces, vibrations can excite electrons and drive nonadiabatic energy loss, while in superconductors related electron-phonon interactions determine collective behaviour and critical temperatures. I also want to understand how nuclear quantum effects, especially for light atoms such as hydrogen, reshape these processes in surfaces, complex materials, and metallic hydrides, using real-space first-principles methods together with efficient software implementations.
